that plays blue in the new moment Case lifts
and slowly scratches the bottom of his left eye

the room forgets who sits and who leaves and who paints that mural
thirty feet long maybe fifty or sixty years ago
all those dancing women and men
and who arrives happy and buying

painting joy in that playing
blue in the new stroke

there is no new thing

Case lifts
turns to the window and tries to see beyond the street

and the painting

back    next

Close the window to return to the calendar.
